Tip of the Week

Bag Line
Every evening when you arrive to camp and every morning when you get back on the river, there is gear to load and unload on and off of the boats. By no means are you required to help (please do not lift anything beyond your ability), but our guests often find helping the guides becomes part of the expedition experience. When making a "bag line," stand about two to three feet apart from the person next you and then alternate so you are facing the person on both your left and right. This minimizes the twisting action reducing the risk for back injury.

Each week we will update this page with a new tip that you might find useful in preparation for your rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. The tips will cover a variety of topics including gear tips, hiking tips and more. We hope you will find some of the tips helpful as many of these tips have come directly from our customers and our guides. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to drop us an email at info@azraft.com.
